We bereiden een Nederland-specifieke versie van dit document voor. Tot die er is, geldt de versie hieronder voor boekingen via Packhood Ierland en is deze enkel ter referentie.

Packhood Booking Terms
Geldig vanaf: april 2026
Prohibited Items
You confirm that you are not storing any of the following:
- Stolen property or vehicles (incl. bicycles, cars, or similar).
- Weapons of any kind, incl. guns, explosives, ammunition, fireworks.
- Illegal goods of any kind (drugs, drug paraphernalia, stolen items).
- Food, drink, or perishable goods.
- Anything alive or once alive (animals, plants, insects, fungus, bacteria).
- Items producing strong smells, gas, or leaking liquids.
- Liquids of any type; flammable/hazardous/contaminated/radioactive/toxic materials.
- Damp, mouldy, rotten, or pest-infested goods.
- Anything noisy, heat-generating, or that may expand, burst, or otherwise pose a risk.
- Cash, securities, jewellery, or other valuables.
Storing any Prohibited Items may result in immediate termination with no refund and liability for damages.
General Terms
- "Renter" and "Host" have the same meaning as in Packhood's Terms & Conditions.
- By making a booking, you agree to these Booking Terms, Packhood's Cancellations, Notice, Refunds & Disputes Policy, and the full Terms & Conditions.
- All times use the listing's local timezone; DST/leap years are handled accordingly.
Booking & Payments
- When a Renter requests to book, Packhood places a temporary hold (via Stripe) for the first month's fee.
- Booking is not confirmed until the Host accepts.
- If accepted within 48 hours, the hold is captured and the booking starts on the Start Date.
- If declined or not accepted within 48 hours, the hold is released.
- If accepted late (>48h), the Renter must re-authorise payment.
- Start dates can be selected only within the next 30 days.
- Minimum term = 1 month.
- Monthly billing continues on a rolling basis until ended under the Notice rules below.
All fees and payments must go through Packhood. Off-platform payments are prohibited.
Host Duties
- Provide accurate listing details (size, access, security, address).
- Ensure the Storage Space is accessible, safe, and in working order.
- Retain copies of any keys or fobs issued.
- Replace locks/keys at your own expense unless damaged by the Renter.
- Comply with mortgages, leases, insurance, and applicable law before listing.
Renter Duties
- Pay fees promptly via Packhood's payment system.
- Keep the space tidy and free of rubbish.
- Package goods suitably for the conditions (e.g., waterproofing where appropriate).
- Do not alter the space (e.g., install locks) without the Host's written consent.
- Return the space in the same condition on move-out and remove all goods by the Effective End Date (EED).
Cancellations, Notice & Refunds
Before Start (same as policy):
- Renter cancels ≥72h before Start → Full refund.
- Renter cancels <72h before Start → 50% refund of first month (Packhood keeps 50%).
- Host cancels before Start → Full refund to Renter; Host may be penalised for reliability.
- No Host reply within 48h → booking request expires; hold released.
After Start (notice model, symmetric for Host & Renter):
- Either party may end an active booking via End booking in the app.
- The notice clock runs from the end of the current billing month, not the click date.
- No refund for the current month.
- One additional notice month is billed.
- All billing and payouts stop at the Effective End Date (EED).
EED = current_period_end + 30 days (23:59 local)
Dashboards display "Ends {EED}" and the counterparty is notified.
Safety / force majeure:
If Packhood verifies a genuine safety risk, illegal activity, or force-majeure event, Packhood may end immediately and issue a full or partial refund at its sole discretion.
Refund path & timing:
Refunds go back to the original card via Stripe. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days (bank dependent).
Guarantee & Disputes
- Packhood may (at its sole discretion) reimburse Hosts up to €300 per booking for direct damage caused by a Renter. This is goodwill only, not insurance.
- Eligibility requires: time-stamped before/after photos, rule compliance, and timely reporting.
- Time windows:
- Renters: raise issues within 48h of Start or incident.
- Hosts: report within 48h of discovery and no later than 14 days after move-out.
- Evidence (photos/video, chat logs) may be required.
- Payouts may be frozen while a dispute is reviewed.
- Packhood's decision is final.
Termination
- Either party may terminate immediately for breach, fraud, prohibited items, or verified safety risk.
- For ordinary endings after Start, the notice model above applies (no instant Host kick-outs).
- Packhood may suspend accounts or cancel bookings for fraud, breach, or risk.
- Terms may be updated at any time; continued use = acceptance.
Liability
- Packhood is a marketplace only — not a bailee, landlord, or insurer.
- Hosts remain responsible for their property; Renters remain responsible for their goods.
- Packhood's maximum liability per booking is capped at the Packhood commissions received for that booking.
