Packhood is a peer-to-peer marketplace — you rent unused space directly from a verified neighbour, host or local business. It's often cheaper, frequently within walking distance, and you deal with a real person rather than a corporate facility.
Is my booking insured?
Every booking includes the Packhood Host Guarantee — up to €300 per booking, aggregate across all claims. It covers renter-caused damage to the host's space. Renters may also arrange their own contents insurance for high-value items.
What if I need access at 2am?
Each listing states its access window. Many hosts offer 24/7 access, others have set hours — filter for "24/7 access" in search.
Can I store a car or motorbike?
Yes. Many garages and driveways list as vehicle-suitable. Use the "Vehicle storage" filter to narrow down.
How are hosts screened?
Hosts complete email and phone verification, plus Stripe Connect onboarding before their listing accepts bookings. Listings with reported issues are reviewed and may be de-listed.
What does Packhood take per booking?
The listing price renters see already includes a 20% Packhood service fee (it's never added on top at checkout). Hosts pay an additional 5% commission on their listed amount, so the host receives 95% of what they listed via Stripe Connect.
