FAQ — renting out your driveway
Will renters need access to anything else?
No. Driveway hosting is the most hands-off Packhood asset — renters drop their pod / vehicle on your driveway and access it on the schedule you both agree. They never enter the house.
What if my driveway is shared?
Listing requires that the space you rent is exclusively yours. Shared communal driveways are not eligible. If part of your driveway is exclusively yours and part is shared, list only the exclusive portion.
Do I need permission from my freeholder / management company?
Most leasehold and management agreements allow personal use of an exclusive driveway. Some prohibit any commercial use; check your lease before listing. The responsibility to comply sits with you.
Are vehicles insured?
The renter's vehicle is the renter's responsibility — they retain insurance. The Packhood Host Guarantee covers damage to your driveway / property caused by the renter or their vehicle.
How quickly will my driveway book?
Driveways near city centres and transit hubs (Connolly, Manchester Piccadilly, Amsterdam Centraal) book within days. Suburban driveways take 3–6 weeks; pricing and clear photos are the levers.
