Will renters be in my house when my kids are home?
No — Packhood is for storage, not occupancy. Renters access only the space you've listed (typically a garage, shed or driveway), by appointment, during the access hours you set. They never enter the rest of the home.
What if my garage is also my workshop?
Many family hosts list a portion of their garage. Use the listing description and photos to show exactly what's rentable; renters book that volume only.
Can I keep some of my own things in there too?
Yes — most family hosts do. Mark off the rental footprint with tape or a partition; the renter's items stay in their footprint and yours stay in yours.
How quickly do family-garage listings get bookings?
That depends on local demand and your price — there is no guaranteed timeline. Pricing is the main lever: Packhood shows typical local self-storage rates as a guide, and early listings in a suburb face little competing supply.
Can both partners be on the listing?
Yes — the listing is owned by one Stripe-Connect-verified host, but both partners can manage messages and bookings from a shared dashboard.
